Why do liquid crystal modules glow?

The LCD Panel itself does not emit light, so it needs the back light source (BLU) to provide the white light source. White light becomes linearly polarized light through a polarizing plate (POL). At this time, an electric field is applied to the liquid crystal to change its molecular arrangement through the signal and voltage changes of the glass TFT of the lower substrate. The optical rotation characteristics of the liquid crystal molecules on polarized light are used to control the amount of light passing through each pixel. The resulting outgoing light blends into the desired variety of colors.

The backlight of Mobile products adopts LED side-in structure, which can minimize the thickness of the entire product structure. The specially designed dot at the bottom of the light guide plate destroys the total reflection condition, so that the light can be released from the light guide plate, the light through the diffusion film and the role of the brightening film, the original scattered propagation direction can be corrected, and finally get the optical characteristics that meet the requirements of the liquid crystal display.
